Apply now to attend The Music 4.5 Open Data seminar
William Lovegrove, data expert and founder of Release Mobile, will chair the event, which takes place on 5 March at the offices of Lewis Silkin on Chancery Lane.
The event has been set up to bring music and tech experts together to discuss the drivers and motivations behind opening up data in the music industry.
A number of influential figures from both sectors will appear to discuss the subject.
Paul Gathercole, global vice-president of digital tools at Universal Music Group International, will discuss how value can be driven by open data while Gavin Starks, Chief Executive Officer of the Open Data Institute, will open the day with a presentation. He also founded CI: the first company to deliver digital products to iTunes.
Elsewhere, Last.fm’s commercial director Chris Wistow will talk through how he helped build a business partly based on open data.
The event will close with networking drinks giving attendees the chance to meet the speakers.
You can purchase tickets for the event from the Music 4.5 website.
