Oscar, Golden Globe-winner and BAFTA nominee Dario Marianelli is one of the bright stars composing for the big screen. Born in Italy, Marianelli emerged on the international film scene at the turn of the millennium through his work with Julien Temple on Pandaemonium and on Asif Kapadia’s much acclaimed debut The Warrior.
His longest and most fruitful collaboration has been with director Joe Wright, with Marianelli’s scores for Pride and Prejudice and Atonement taking major awards including two Oscar nominations and BAFTA and Oscar wins for Best Original Score and Best Music respectively.
In this event, Dario will take the stage with fellow composer and teacher Miguel Mera and use extracts from his work to explore his musical creative process.
