HMV relaunches website and online store
Visitors to the website will no longer be able to purchase physical formats and instead are taken to the new HMV digital store where they can listen to 30-second track previews and purchase downloads.
HMV’s new website has also put a strong emphasis on curated content including in-store event reviews and album reviews.
Marketing Week has reported that the retailer is also working on website personalisation to offer a tailored experience based on what customers are interested in.
Users will also be able to sign up to HMV’s loyalty programme pureHMV, which is set to relaunch later this week.
Further upcoming improvements to the site will include a search function, a full product catalogue and more integration with downloads.
