MAMA Group acquires 50% share in ATP

MAMA GroupMAMA Group, organisers of the Great Escape, Lovebox and Wilderness festivals, has bought a 50 percent share in gig and festival promoters All Tomorrows Parties (ATP).

ATP’s Barry Hogan and Deborah Higgins will now work with MAMA on choosing artists and acts for their festivals while also on developing the ATP brand in the UK and beyond.

Dean James, MAMA Chief Executive Officer, told Music Week: ‘Barry and Deborah run a fantastic business and it is a real honour for us to be working with them.

‘ATP’s pioneering attitude and its success in the international market, combined with MAMA’s infrastructure of major festivals and venues is a dangerous combination.’

MAMA also confirmed the appointment of Rich McGinnis as Head of Talent for the group – McGinnis will be responsible for booking artists for MAMA festivals and venues.

The new post holder has previously worked with the likes of Chibuku ShakeShake, Circus and The Warehouse Project.

James added: ‘Rich will add a huge amount of innovation and energy to MAMA’s estate and his arrival along with Barry and Deborah creates a bit of a dream team for us.’

MAMA Group is owned by HMV Group and runs a variety of music events and venues – its portfolio includes Lovebox, Global Gathering, The Garage, HMV Forum as well as free music magazine The Fly.
