Imagem Music has announced the appointment of Ed Poston to the role of senior A&R.
The new role will see Ed work across all artists and songwriters across all aspects of A&R.
He most recently lead A&R and publishing for Glassnote in the UK, working with artists such as Aurora, James Hersey and Tor Miller, along with songwriters such as Jonny Wright and O. Martin. Aurora has seen international success while James Hersey’s first single Miss You has been streamed 53 million times on Spotify alone.
Kim Frankiewicz, Imagem Music UK managing director, said: ‘Ed is an absolutely first rate A&R executive. He has an insatiable appetite for all things music, and is really leading the charge of the next generation of great A&Rs. We have worked together previously on projects, so I am thrilled he is joining the team.’
Ed Poston, senior A&R for Imagem Music UK, added: ‘I have admired Imagem, their ethos and culture for some time and have enjoyed a great relationship with Kim and her team, which I am very happy to now be joining. Imagem is a shining example of a modern publishing company that values strong relationships with their artists and writers and has an impeccable reputation for delivering.’
Previous to Glassnote, for three years Ed was an executive at BMI in their Writer-Publisher Relations department for the UK and Europe. At this time, he brought in artists including Ed Sheeran, Gotye, Avicii, Ellie Goulding, Example and Nero.
In 2009 Ed also founded the widely used A&R tipping site, The Live List, and has worked in various other fields in music such as tour management, promotion and TV plugging.
