AMLOR Music Publishing is a brand new publishing and neighbouring rights organisation set up by the management team behind One Direction (pictured) and 5 Seconds of Summer.
Industry executive Blair McDonald and Modest! Management’s Richard Griffiths, Harry Magee, Will Blomfield are behind the venture, which will provide creative services for songwriters, producers and artists.
Based from the Modest! Management offices in London and Los Angeles, AMLOR will retain independence and control over its own copyright, royalties and financing.
Its first and only signing is British singer-songwriter Murphykid, although the company has told Billboard it’s currently in discussions with ‘a number of songwriters and artists’.
McDonald – who will act as managing director of the new venture – said in a statement: ‘I couldn’t be more excited to be launching this new venture with Richard, Harry and Will.
‘The music publishing business is rapidly evolving – along with every other area of our business – and the insight into that changing world through the Modest! team, is second to none.’
‘At AMLOR Music we’re offering the widest range of creative services to our roster – from working with writers and producers to access the best possible projects, providing financial support to help developing artists take the first steps on the road, pursuing brand partnerships, creative guidance, access to industry expertise, and everything in-between.’
Partner Magee added: ‘This is a natural extension of our business which will allow us to develop even more talent in so many ways.
‘We and our teams work with songwriters and producers on all our projects every day. AMLOR now provides an additional, service based platform where we can develop new relationships with some of those creative partners.’
Modest! Management’s roster currently includes Little Mix and MNEK.
