A quarter of a century is a long, long time in dance music particularly when you factor in the hours and lifestyle it can often involve.
So it’s testament to both their music and stamina that electronic outfit Orbital are still at the top of their game, almost 25 years after their first gig at London’s Garage in 1990.
Since those early days, the brothers have done much to shape the electronic landscape with seminal tracks such as Belfast and Chime alongside legendary performances at Glastonbury and Brixton Academy.
Orbital were presented with a PRS for Music Heritage Award at the Garage in Highbury yesterday (12 November) and M was on hand to chat to them about that first gig, their career highlights and what they think of dance music today…
