Apply for Chase & Status academy open days

ELAM logoCalling all aspiring songwriters and composers aged 16-19 – apply now to attend a free open day at East London Arts and Music (ELAM) school founded by Chase and Status’ Will Kennard.

ELAM is a new college of music and digital arts opening in Tower Hamlets in September 2014.

The new institution is expected to be open to 16-19 year olds. They can can register for the open days at elam.co.uk/taster.

Will said: ‘We started Elam as we realised there was so much talent out there that had potential but no direction or knowledge about the industry. We wanted to give that talent in and around East London a chance to develop and see actually how the music industry works.’

Courses are expected to focus on music business, performance and production while a team of music industry insiders, led by Will, will also provide further insight into how to make it in the music business.

The taster days will take place at Urban Development, Unit D2, Sugar House Yard, 20 Sugar House Lane, London E15 2QS.
