Calling all jazz artists (especially those living and working in the north west of England): applications are now open to apply to play Manchester Jazz Festival (MJF) 2018!
Featuring over 500 musicians across 12 venues, the festival takes over Manchester every July and August to bring the very best in contemporary jazz over the course of 10 days.
Encouraging multiple genres of contemporary jazz, this year’s lineup included the likes of Lauren Kinsella and Kit Downes, revered saxophonist Joshua Redman and composer-producer Shri Sriram.
The festival’s programming policy gives priority to artists based in the north west of England who wish to showcase new or original work that offers something unusual or unique.
The deadline for submissions is 24 November 2017.
