The Mayor of London is calling on the city’s young musicians to sign up for the Greater London Authority contest by 7 June 2015.
The initiative, called Gigs, is sponsored by PRS for Music and is welcoming entrants aged 11 to 25 of all musical flavours – from pop to classical, hip-hop to folk.
The best acts to be chosen by an expert industry judges and a public vote will go head-to-head in the Gigs Grand Final at Westfield Stratford City in September.
Prizes include a year’s London Underground busking licence, a recording session at a professional studio, a busking trip to Paris and a training package from The Institute of Contemporary Music.
