DIY acts and indie publishers: find out how to get Facebook licensed

Music listener

Want to monetize your music on Facebook? The social media giant has rolled out monetization to independent songwriters and publishers and has set a deadline of 12 March for users to opt in. Find out how here…

Following recent licensing agreements with rightholders including ICESony/ATV and Universal Music Group, Facebook is offering publishers and self-published musicians the opportunity to enter into a direct license agreement with Facebook for Facebook, Instagram and Oculus.

The deal – in partnership with HFA/Rumblefish – covers music in uploaded videos, stories and live videos across the three platforms.

To opt in, you will need an HFA online account, as well as a TuneRegistry account to add your songs. You can request an HFO account here and create a TuneRegistry account here.

For full instructions, visit the Tune Registry blog.
