James Bates, Partner, Deloitte
James is a Partner in the Deloitte Media & Entertainment group who has 15 years experience advising media industry clients. His clients range from individual creators of content to multinational groups. He is well versed in the issues surrounding intellectual property and their exploitation across a proliferation of channels from physical and live through to emerging digital platforms. James is responsible for Deloitte’s media thought leadership.
Paul Lee, Global TMT Research Director, Deloitte
Paul Lee is responsible for technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) research at Deloitte, the largest private professional services organisation. In this role Paul has authored over 60 TMT reports, including Deloitte’s annual ‘Predictions’ series. Launched in 2010 in 58 countries, and generating over 3000 press hits, the ‘Predictions’ report covers a wide spectrum of industry trends, from linear television’s longevity to ‘green cement’. Paul also developed Deloitte’s Digital Index, which measures adoption of digital products and services on a quarterly basis, and as a writer has had over 30 columns published in the Financial Times, and has written five books, including ‘Convergence Conversations’ and ‘Digital Dilemmas’. Prior to working at Deloitte Research, Paul was a Director at Gartner Consulting, leading work in the communications sector.
