Are you a music-maker, producer or artist manager? Take part in UK Music’s 2018 survey to help the organisation gauge the current health of the music industry.
UK Music, whose members include PRS for Music and the Music Publishers Association, will use the important insight it gathers to analyse trends and document day-to-day conditions within the music business.
Its last Measuring Music report revealed that 142,208 jobs were supported by music in 2016, generating in excess of £4.4bn for the UK economy.
The organisation said: ‘Music is the engine room of the creative economy and this report gives us the hard statistics we need to negotiate the best policies for your future.
‘It helps us to shape industrial strategy for the creative industries and aid negotiations as the UK prepares to withdraw from the European Union. It helps us fight against the threats to grassroots music, like the closure of some of the country’s most cherished small venues.
‘It helps us lobby the government to help all those who work in the music business. The report also helps us fight to protect the value of copyright and intellectual property and get a fair deal for everyone from creators to investors.’
