Abbey Road has launched a Battle of the Bands competition with the Metro newspaper offering the winners the chance to record their music at the famous studio.
The competition was launched in the newspaper and offers new artists the chance to record their music in one of Abbey Road’s new studios – The Gatehouse or The Front Room.
Finalists will have their music judged by a panel of experts including Nile Rodgers from Chic, music and arts journalist Malcolm Jack and Abbey Road engineer Matt Mysko whose recording credits include works by Frank Ocean, James Blake & Liam Gallagher.
Artists are invited to email their tracks to firstname.lastname@example.org by 19 June.
The five winning tracks will be posted to the Abbey Road Facebook page, then the track with the most ‘likes’ will be judged the winner.
