Composers are invited to submit work across 31 categories in three sections: best original composition, best sound design and best sync/use of existing music.
Previous winners at the event, which is now in its third year, include Sherlock Series 2 (Hothouse Music and David Arnold & Michael Price), Downton Abbey Series 3 (Carnival Films and John Lunn) and Ill Manors (Universal Music Publishing and Plan B and Al Shux).
Nick Payne said: ‘Since its inception in 2011, the Music+Sound Awards have grown to become a national and international stamp of excellence, recognising an area of the industry that has arguably been neglected up until we launched three years ago.
‘We are very proud of what we have achieved and are indebted to all the companies and individuals that have supported us along the way.’
Nominees for the third Music+Sound Awards will be announced at the beginning of February 2014 while winning entries will be honoured at a ceremony on 27 February 2014 in London.
Entries cost £125 + VAT per entry per category or £99 + VAT with an eligible discount and can be made at www.masawards.com.
Deadline for submissions is 30 November.
