Calling all orchestras: PRS Foundation is awarding up to £15,000 to programme and promote a piece of music as part of its Resonate scheme.
The new fund and resource – in partnership with the Association of British Orchestras (ABO) and BBC Radio 3 – was set up to support the best UK orchestral music written in the last 25 years.
Up to £15,000 is available to up to 10 orchestras per year, who are dedicated to programming and promoting a piece of music from the Resonate database.
The works will be promoted as part of a season, tour and longer-term audience development programme.
The Resonate database aims to demonstrate, ‘the scope and quality of new music already commissioned by UK orchestras and to enable them to revisit pieces which would strengthen their programming of contemporary British music for orchestras.’
The next deadline is Friday 30th November.
