Dan Croll is a Liverpudlian songsmith who has appeared out of nowhere with an arsenal of killer pop songs and a unique style that’s getting tongues wagging and radio stations buzzing.
Not so long ago, Dan was convinced he’d become a professional rugby player and one day represent England on the international field. But a hairy on-pitch incident led to an injury that kept him in bed for more than 12 months… Cue the music.
Unable to get about on a broken leg, Dan returned to an early passion, his acoustic guitar. Pretty soon he was writing high-class pop songs and building new dreams. Debut track From Nowhere first pricked ears in the blogosphere and earned him radio play across most major networks.
This weekend marked his first ever appearance at The Great Escape festival, where his flamboyant live act went down a storm. His playful sound weaves in vibrant electronic flourishes with psychedelic guitars and genuine pop hooks, all overlaid with Dan’s dazzling harmonies.
He’s currently working on his debut album, but in the meantime new single Compliment Your Soul should provide eager fans with something to get their teeth into.
With live dates from Toronto to Skipton this summer, the Dan Croll bandwagon is sure to be pitching up in a town near you very soon (details through website link below). This is definitely one to catch early before the stadiums beckon…
