Who? WOWH are songwriting/production duo Nick Harrison and Toby Couling.
What? Perky, harmony-laden pop.
From where? New Cross, London.
What’s the story? Nick and Toby came together last year, bonding over a shared love of sixties songwriting and electronic groove.
As solo multi-instrumentalists and singers in their own right, their WOWH sound brings a buoyant blend of bubblegum pop and slick 21st century production prowess.
Last year’s debut EP, Pop – with all its layered harmonies and melodic joy – officially announced the pair’s arrival. Produced by Matt Wiggins (Florence + the Machine, Adele, MIA), it shone a light on a duo with a bright future ahead of them.
Follow-up single Suffer earlier this year only upped the ante, pricking the ears of BBC Introducing, Virgin Radio and Clash magazine to name a few.
This week they’ve got four hard-won slots at Glastonbury, after riding high in the festival’s Emerging Talent Competition and also landing a spot on the hotly-contested BBC Introducing stage.
Sounds like? Summer!
Predicted to? Get the Glastonbury crowds moving this weekend.
Must hear? Latest track, Suffer –
