Attitude is Everything announces accessibility awards shortlist

Music charity Attitude is Everything have revealed the ten-category shortlist for the Outstanding Attitude Awards 2019, which recognises access provision for disabled people.

The all-access event is set to celebrate the best and most innovative live music access provision and will take place on 12 March at Islington Assembly Hall.

BST Hyde Park, Deer Shed Festival, Band on the Wall, Brudenell Social Club, Roundhouse, Ticketmaster, West End Centre (Aldershot), and Download Festival are among the shortlisted nominees.

The awards recognise large events, venues and global brands like BST Hyde Park and Ticketmaster, alongside independent festivals and venues like Deer Shed Festival and Brudenell Social Club.

Attitude is Everything will also honour their late trustee and board officer Nigel McCuneby naming the DIY Access Award after him.

Suzanne Bull MBE, chief executive officer, Attitude is Everything, says: ‘This is such an awesome shortlist, and I would like to congratulate all of the nominees. There can’t be many award shows that cover nominations from live music’s biggest and most recognised global brands next to those from outdoor toilet specialists and tiny local venues.

‘That’s what makes the Outstanding Attitude Awards so special. It highlights how, regardless of size, scale and budget, everyone has the capacity to tear down barriers and make music more inclusive. The only limit is our imagination, and that’s what we’ll be celebrating on March 12th.’
