The City Music Foundation (CMF) is inviting classical, folk, and world musicians to apply to become a 2019 CMF artist, and welcomes applications from soloists and ensembles to join their two-year programme.
The scheme will begin in September and the selected musicians will benefit from a range of network-building and skill-enhancing opportunities.
The scheme features professional development workshops, which cover tax and financial management, networking, presentation skills, legal issues, PR, social media, and pitching to venues and festival.
The programme also includes both business and artistic mentoring and will provide the selected artists with performance opportunities and promotional tools.
Successful candidates will have access to the artist manager and will be provided with additional support with individual projects and commissioning.
Current and previous CMF Artists include A4 Brass Quartet, Lotte Betts-Dean (mezzo-soprano), Tabea Debus (recorders), Foyle-Štšura Duo (violin & piano), Andrey Lebedev (guitar), Ligeti Quartet, Misha Mullov-Abbado (jazz double bass), and Emily Sun (violin).
The deadline for applications is Wednesday 3 April.
