Composers and songwriters worldwide are invited to submit entries for consideration, with the winning entrant receiving £4,000 and a trophy. Two runners-up will also win cash prizes.
Participants can enter original works in any language and from any country, but they should be no longer than four minutes and 30 seconds.
The festival finale takes place in Gibraltar on 23 April 2016, featuring performances of the winning works.

Organisers told M they’ve already started receiving entries from songwriters in the UK, Spain, Italy, Chile, Mexico, Norway and Pakistan, with new entries arriving every day.
The last festival attracted around 700 submissions from 30 countries. The awards ceremony was streamed live to Europe, Latin America and Russia.
