Celebrated screen composer James Newton Howard joins BAFTA’s Conversations with Screen Composers series on 9 October at the Royal Albert Hall to discuss the creative process of composition.
One of the most versatile and respected film composers in the industry, James has scored over 120 films over the course of his thirty-year career, including The Dark Knight, The Sixth Sense, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Pretty Woman and The Hunger Games series.
His career began when he dropped out of the University of Southern California’s music school to tour with Elton John, before going on to compose music for film.
In association with PRS for Music, the event is the latest in a series featuring world-class composers discussing their work on some of the most celebrated scores.
