We have three pairs of tickets to give away for the next PRS for Music Presents event featuring live music from Mercury Prize winner Speech Debelle, Jodie Abacus and Connie Constance.
The night, which takes place on Thursday 23 February at PRS for Music’s King’s Cross offices, will follow in the footsteps of the event series which saw live shows from the likes of Ghostpoet, Honne and Rag N Bone Man in 2016.
Speech Debelle is headliner, an experimental artist who burst onto the scene in 2009, scooping the Mercury Music Prize for British Album Of The Year with her raw and vulnerable debut, Speech Therapy. She picked up more critical acclaim with her Kwes-produced Freedom Of Speech LP in 2012 before taking a hiatus, which saw her cooking on Celebrity Masterchef. She’s expecting to reveal new material this year with this rare outing one of the first chances to hear her new sounds.
Jodie Abacus is a British singer-songwriter from Lewisham, South London. His sound draws on the best in r&b, soul, electronica and funk and has won over fans in the form of Zane Lowe and Clash Magazine. Fresh from supporting Corinne Bailey Rae on her UK tour, a debut album is expected in 2017.
Connie Constance will open proceedings. She brings 3D visual lyricism and a unique approach to song craft. She’s already been featured on the front cover of NME, directed creative projects for Clarks Originals and recently inked deals with AMF Records and Kobalt publishing.
