According to the band, which features Adrian Flanagan and one-time I Monster man Dean Honer, the record will be released on 10 February 2014 via Desolate Records and once again feature the vocal talents of actress Maxine Peake.
This latest record is the follow up to the band’s well received debut full length album, 1612 Underture.
Adrian said: ’This is not some tacky Now that’s what I call… a Soppy Bleeder copulation album on K- Tel records. Nor does it feature Gary Barlow on piano looking wounded, while simultaneously looking at his calculator.
‘However, you will find moments of mundane joy, bleakness and misery, wisdom disguised as wit, sarcasm as an art form and a soupçon of heartache and horror. Ultimately, it touches upon the universal need to be loved but simultaneously left alone. The truth that love can only exist if you can escape it and what happens when you love deeply, but escape too far… We are the Eccentronic Research Council and we have never known a happy ending.’
