For the seventh year Belfast Nashville will bring Belfast alive with the sound of 150 artists performing at 44 venues. Songwriters from all over the world will gather at the songwriting festival and PRS for Music is proud to sponsor the event.
At the launch of the 7th Belfast Nashville Songwriters Festival, Panarts Director Colin Magee explained about the ethos behind the festival: ‘We’re shining a spotlight on the talented people behind hit songs and working hard to inspire local writers to improve their music skills’.
PRS for Music will host an ‘after show club’ with local songwriters performing at the Madison Hotel from the 23rd February to the 25th. The line up so far includes Aaron Shanley, Gareth Dunlop and Laura McGhee. For more details on the line-up and how to get tickets click here.
PRS for Music will also be speaking on a panel ‘Making Money from your Music’ (Thursday 24th 5.30pm-6.30pm). As well running a drop-in clinic for members (Friday 25th Feb, 5pm-7pm).
Appearing at the convention is Belfast’s own Brian Kennedy, who will be joined by Foy Vance, Joe Echo, Gareth Dunlop, Shauna Tohill (aka Silhouette), Gerry Creen and Wes Grierson. Hit writers Billy Bragg, Nik Kershaw, Cerys Matthews, Tony Hawks and Karima Francis will also make appearances.
