A new music industry session will explore the constant battle for the public’s attention, and how content is adapting to meet the new short-form trend.
The next MME 4.5 session, entitled The Attention Economy, will gather industry experts on 20 November in Holborn, London, to examine the current situation and outline where we’re heading.
They will delve into the multi-platform strategies that work best for various content forms and ask if we have reached the peak of available attention.
Other topics covered include the best business models for success, the role of advertising in a world of ‘paid plus free’, and the impact of a few big technology platforms who are monopolising general entertainment services.
Speakers include editor and journalist Chris Cooke (CMU, 3CM), analyst Georgia Meyer (MIDiA Research), Will Mills (LyricFind) and former Guardian news and media business director Dipesh Morjaria (DMob Media).
