Music Venue Trust are delighted to announce that KT Tunstall is the latest artist to publicly state her support for the charity’s work by becoming a patron. To coincide with a week in which the first ever Scottish Venues Meeting takes place in Glasgow, KT represents a Scottish artist making a global impact through her music.
Joining existing patrons Sir Paul McCartney, Elbow, Billy Bragg, Savages, Slaves, Enter Shikari, Be Charlotte, Frank Turner, Steve Lamacq, and Vic Galloway – who have spoken up in support of Music Venue Trust’s work – KT Tunstall said that “small, grassroots music venues are essential to the health of the contemporary music scene in the U.K. Without this network, new artists have no opportunity to cut their teeth and essentially train for the bigger stages which provide the U.K. with a phenomenal global musical reputation as well as providing a significant financial boost to the overall economy.”
