The London A Cappella Festival (LACF) has announced its 10th anniversary celebrations, with performers including Laura Mvula plus a series of talks, workshops and showcases.
Taking place from 23 to 26 January at London’s Kings Place and LSO St Luke’s, the festival promises to be ‘an unforgettable, extra-special celebration of the best a cappella talent from across the globe.’
Performers announced so far include composer and singer Laura Mvula (pictured above) who will appear with female vocal quintet Black Voices; UK a cappella groups The Techtonics, The Rolling Tones and The Bristol Suspensions; pop-jazz vocal sensations m-pact; and legendary Cuban superstars Vocal Sampling.
Alongside performances, there will also be vocal workshops, free interactive events, talks, showcase performances, and a schedule of activities for aspiring young singers.
LACF is curated by The Swingles and Ikon Arts Management, while the London Youth Choir is Youth Partner, and choirmaster and broadcaster Gareth Malone OBE is Festival Patron.
Malone said: ‘I’m thrilled and honoured to be a Patron of the London A Cappella Festival. I have been attending this event over the last few years and am hugely inspired by the quality and ambition of work on display.
‘It’s great to be working again with The Swingles who lead the way and are able to bring so many extraordinary voices together for this excellent festival.’
