Experimental producer Klein, sound artist Mark Leckey and producer/artist Mark Fell are among the names confirmed for the London Contemporary Music Festival (LCMF).
The 2018 edition of the six-day music and arts festival takes place from 1 to 16 December across London venues including Ambika P3, Bloc and Second Home Spitalfields.
According to organisers, this year’s programme – the seventh edition in six years – will be ‘richer and more tentacular than ever before, where singing cyborg statues and go-go dancers will rub shoulders with professional mourners and choral collectives; where you can hear the music of volcanoes and the sound of great rivers and the destruction of Sodom.’
LCMF has teamed up with the Serpentine Galleries, Manchester label The Death of Rave, experimental ensemble Apartment House and choir collective Musarc for the event.
Taking part across 10 events, the programme will feature five ‘major new commissions’, talks, a club night, premieres by three generations of female electronic composers, an experimental choral programme, a set of orchestral premieres and lots more.
