Mark Ryan, who was a guitarist in an early line-up of Adam and the Ants and several other Punk bands died on 31 January 2011 in Cardiff.
Ryan featured on the Adam and the Ants single Plastic Surgery and in the film 1977 Derek Jarman film Jubilee.
After the punk era faded, Ryan went back to study and earned a Bachelors degree in music from Dartington College of Arts.
Becoming a playright, Ryan had several successes – the biggest being The Strange Case Of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde As Told To Carl Jung By An Inmate Of Broadmoor Asylum which was a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe in 1998 and went on to be staged in London, Cardiff and San Francisco. A well-known figure in Welsh theatre, Ryan settled in Heath area of Cardiff.
Mark leaves a wife and two children.
