The Production Music Awards, formally the Library Music Awards, has been revamped for this year and is now open for entries.
The new-look event offers both large and small music libraries an opportunity to champion the depth and quality of production music to the wider sync, media and advertising industries.
Organisers are calling for entries in a variety of sync and composition categories including Best Trailer, Best Use of Production Music in TV Drama and Best Score Production Music Track.
They are also welcoming entrants from a range of genres, including jazz, hip-hop, folk, ambient and rock.
Visit http://www.productionmusicawards.com/enter/ for more info. The closing date for entries is 16 September 2016.
This year’s Production Music Awards will also include the daytime event, Tune Up, offering a series of educational demonstrations, workshops and industry panels tailored towards composers.
Tune Up will take place on 25 November at BAFTA’s Princess Anne Theatre, Piccadilly.
The awards ceremony will take place in the ballroom at 8 Northumberland Avenue, later that evening.
Tickets for both events are available from the Production Music Awards’ website www.productionmusicawards.com.
MCPS Production Music, alongside PRS for Music, is playing a key role in supporting the development of the awards this year.
They will be joined by key sponsors Sound on Sound Magazine, the Musician’s Union, Spitfire Audio and production collective, WMP.
