The Radio Academy has announced that the Radio Festival 2016 will be held on at the British Library.
Taking place on Tuesday 27 September, the event aims to celebrate the broadcast industry with some of the biggest names from the sector.
Last year’s event included appearances from the likes of Chris Evans, Christian O’Connell, Zane Lowe and a live performance from Jamie Cullum.
Roger Cutsforth, The Radio Academy managing director, said: ‘It is great to be able to announce the date for the Radio Festival well in advance this year and we are delighted to be able to partner with The British Library once again.
‘Feedback from delegates who attended the festival last year was hugely positive regarding the venue and the synergy with the library’s sound archive. I’m also thrilled to announce that this year’s Radio Festival Steering Group is being chaired by Jonathan Arendt, chief executive officer of Jazz FM and the festival director for 2016 is Helen Thomas Editor BBC Radio 2 and Radio 2 Digital.’
More details surrounding the event are expected to be announced in the coming months.
