Royal Blood see 200% sales spike after BRITs win

Royal Blood Royal Blood enjoyed a 200 percent increase in sales of their self-titled debut LP following their BRIT Award win and performance.

The Brighton duo won the BRIT Award for Best British Group from Led Zeppelin icon Jimmy Page and performed at the event, which took place at the O2 Arena earlier this week.

Paloma Faith, who was voted Best British Female Artist, enjoyed a 130 percent sales lift for her acclaimed album A Perfect Contradiction.

BPI’s Gennaro Castaldo said: ‘The BRITs always have a galvanising effect on artist sales, and with such an acclaimed show and stand-out performances that everyone’s been talking about, we’re seeing a significant lift in demand for a lot of the music featured in the show.’
