Metropolis Sessions August edition, supported by PRS for Music and Roland, takes place on Tuesday 6 August and features performances from up and coming acts to an invite-only audience of music industry professionals.
The Sea and I, who have been tipped by Mumford & Sons’ Ted Dwane, like to play at unusual venues around the capital, with fluctuating line-ups and a revolving range of instruments including brass and strings.
They will be joined by world beat-boxing champion Shlomo, who has worked with Bjork, Damon Albarn, Jarvis Cocker, Martha Wainwright and The Specials.
Also on the bill is Thabo and the Real Deal who say they ‘make the type of music Bob Marley would listen to if he were still alive today’. They’ve only released one EP but have already supported Eric Roberson, Avery Sunshine, Cody Chestnutt and Dwele.
You can stream the event live from 7.30pm on 6 August here.
