The annual event, which takes place in Brighton, showcases new music and features a music industry conference.
The event takes place at venues across Brighton and includes a panel led by PRS for Music, PPL, PRS Foundation for Life and Flohio in conversation with Huw Stephens: Doing it DIY.
Running from 8 – 11 May, The Great Escape Conference features a wide-ranging series of panels, formal and informal networking sessions, and educational opportunities designed for those at the beginning stages of their music careers.
The three-day conference will highlight three key areas of the business: The Music Education Conference – Building bridges not walls, The Digital Dollars Conference – Getting paid as well as played, The Music Marketing Conference – Making sure people give a shit – sponsored by BPI.
Other highlights across the event include, The CMU+TGE Digital Dollars Conference, workshop and drop in sessions, and a brand-new professional development programme, TGE Elevate, funded by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
This year’s conference will also mark the launch of three pieces of original research as part of the Complete Music Update and The Great Escape programme.
