The Independent newspaper has announced the acts that will appear on their stage at this year’s Live at Leeds festival, including Ibibio Sound Machine and Kate Tempest.
The Independent has teamed up with PRS Foundation’s Momentum Music Fund to bring a lineup that also includes Hak Baker, Dream Wife, Gengahr and Elder Island.
The stage will be located at the Leed’s Beckett Student’s Union.
PRS Foundation’s Momentum Music Fund offers grants of £5,000 to £15,000 for UK based artists and bands to help them reach the next level of their career, with support available for recording, touring and marketing.
Since 2000 PRS Foundation has awarded more than £32m to more than 6,800 new music initiatives, making the organisation the leading charitable funder of new music in the UK.
The Momentum Music Fund is run by PRS Foundation in partnership with PPL, Creative Scotland, Arts Council of Wales and Welsh Government, and Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Invest NI, in association with Spotify.
PRS Foundation and Arts Council England started The Momentum Music Fund in 2013.
Elsewhere, the festival will also feature sets from Black Honey, Benin City, C Duncan, Confidence Man and more.
