Watch our exclusive interview with indie pop band Toy Horses.
Toy Horses are Adam D. Franklin and Tom Williams. The duo hail from Wales and write songs which have that quintessential British pop sound.
The band got their break at the SXSW showcase in Texas, where they made an instant impression on the man who launched Coldplay’s career in the US, Nic Harcourt, who told everyone who would listen that Toy Horses were his band of the festival. Harcourt invited the band to play a session on his KCRW radio show in Los Angeles.
The band returned to the US to work with Wilco’s Ken Coomer and Jim Bogois, who has produced Counting Crows and Sheryl Crow, in Nashville.
Toy Horses have an unlikely musical champion in Stephen Fry who announced to his two million-strong followers on Twitter that Toy Horses were his new favourite indie band.
Visit M tomorrow for two exclusive live acoustic performances.
The album Toy Horses is out now.
