London songsmith Turan has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with BDi Music.
The multi-instrumentalist and songwriter has been on the radar for a couple of years now, self-releasing EPs and singles including Persistence of Memory and Fear, which mixed downtempo hip-hop with swirling guitars and analogue percussion.
His latest release, Eden EP, which landed in May, was produced by Matt Allchin (Adele, Florence + the Machine).
EP track Ghost, co-written by BDi writer Ed Tullett, has since been picked up by Huw Stephens for his BBC Radio 1 BBC Introducing show.
Sarah Liversedge, BDi managing director, said: ‘I’m really happy to be able to bring Turan onto the BDi Music roster.
‘He’s a fascinating artist in everything that he does – whether it’s his album artwork, music videos or the songs themselves, his work is captivating. He’s set for big things and we’re all excited about going on the journey with him.’
Turan’s manager Elspeth Merry added: ‘We’re so excited to have joined the BDi family. Their understanding of Turan’s vision and love for his music was palpable from the very beginning.
‘As soon as we met Sarah we wanted to work with her. It’s the start of a special partnership and we can’t wait for the world to hear more.’
