Roger Waters from Pink Floyd has signed a new long-term publishing deal with BMG to represent his songs with the iconic British band.
The catalogue includes songs from many of the bands most revered albums including the first Pink Floyd album, Piper At The Gates Of Dawn to The Final Cut. This includes classics such as Money, Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Comfortably Numb.
Hartwig Masuch, BMG chief executive officer, said: ‘We are honoured that Roger Waters has chosen BMG, the youngest of the big international music companies to represent his legendary and exquisite catalogue.
‘To win the endorsement and trust of one of the world’s most successful songwriters is a significant milestone less than eight years after our launch.’
Pink Floyd have sold more than 250m albums, with Roger Waters their main songwriter for their key works, on albums such as The Dark Side Of The Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977) and The Wall (1979).
Commenting Roger Waters said: ‘October last year I put on a gig called Music Heals with some wounded veterans in Washington DC, BMG supported us. I’m very glad to be back in the same team.’
