Against a backdrop of growing success for UK country and Americana artists on both sides of the Atlantic, PRS for Music recently hosted the inaugural London-to-Nashville songwriting camp.

Taking place at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London, it saw the coming together of chart-topping UK and Nashville songwriters to create new transatlantic cross-country hits.

From British heavyweights Wayne Hector (One Direction, Little Mix, Nicki Minaj), Starsmith (Paloma Faith, Kylie), Pete Hammerton (James Arthur, Britney Spears) and Jim Eliot (Will Young, Ellie Goulding) to Nashville hit makers Randy Houser, Eric Paslay, Angaleena Presley and Michael Tyler, the day-long intensive session attracted some of the finest songwriting minds working today.

Fast rising Irish talent Catherine McGrath and English hitmaker Twinnie completed the line-up, bringing their own country/pop slant and innovative ideas to the day.
